PRS Guitars Introduces New S2 Series

Fresh Lineup of Mid-Priced Solidbody Electric Guitars Made in Stevensville, Maryland

PRS Guitars’ new S2 Series instruments – the S2 Mira, S2 Starla, and S2 Custom 24 – offer the fit, feel, and attention to detail of PRS craftsmanship in a fresh, straightforward design. Meaning “Stevensville 2,” the S2 Series is named for a second manufacturing line created inside the PRS Stevensville, MD shop that blends new manufacturing techniques with practiced quality control and workmanship to create instruments at a new price point for players. The S2 Series will be in stores in early August and will be made up of the S2 Mira ($1,179), the S2 Starla ($1,249), and the S2 Custom 24 ($1,399).

Paul Reed Smith Guitars Receives Platinum Award of Excellence in Manufacturing

On Friday, June 21, 2013 the Chesapeake Region Safety Council (CRSC) held its 90th Annual Meeting at Baltimore’s Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards. Each year CRSC accepts nominations from member organizations who have achieved exceptional levels of performance in Safety and Health. The competition requires companies to not only talk the talk about safety but to show results through supporting documentation.

For four consecutive years, PRS has partnered with GRAND-AM Road Racing’s Rolex Sports Car Series by providing race-winning teams with unique fully-functional trophy guitars.

PRS Guitars Partners with Atlantic Forest Reforestation Program in Brazil

Beginning in 2013, Paul Reed Smith Guitars is partnering with the Monte Pascoal Pau Brasil Ecological Corridor project (MPPB-EC). Through reforestation and restoration of native ecosystems, the MPPB-EC initiative aims to establish a biodiversity corridor that will join two large sections of Atlantic Forest in Brazil – an important global biodiversity site. It is expected that more than 2,470 acres will be reforested over the project’s thirty-year lifetime.
