Introducing the PRS Archon Amplifier

In the world of high-gain amplifiers, modern players demand aggressive overdriven tones and ample headroom with sparkling cleans. The new PRS Archon amplifier offers all of the above in a high-design 100/50-watt package (via a half-power switch). Greek for “ruler” or “lord,” the Archon has already earned the endorsement of several top artists, including Dustie Waring (Between the Buried and Me), Fredrik Åkesson (Opeth), Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge and Creed), Emil Werstler (Chimaira), and Zach Myers (Shinedown).

PRS Guitars Presents the 2014 Collection Series by Private Stock

PRS Guitars is proud to officially announce the 2014 Collection Series by Private Stock. Introduced in the fall of 2011, the PRS Collection Series is made up of a very limited number of instruments each year that are made with the most prized components in the company’s possession, using PRS’s most exacting methods. Paul Reed Smith, along with the Private Stock team, designs and oversees all aspects of production, including the selection of all woods.

Metropolitan Museum of Art Acquires a Custom Electric PRS for Its Distinguished Permanent Collection

Paul Reed Smith guitar’s new permanent home at the Met, thanks to Warren and Kateryna Esanu, is celebrated by the public and dignitaries with a performance demonstration by John McLaughlin in the Met's Temple of Dendur in The Sackler Wing. On October 7th, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York accepted a Paul Reed Smith electric guitar into its permanent collection. The presentation, a gift from Warren and Kateryna Esanu, included a public performance and demonstration of the guitar by PRS Artist and world-renowned guitarist John McLaughlin.

Developed and refined over many years, the PRS David Grissom signature amplifiers “DG Custom 30” and “DG Custom 50” and signature “DG Custom 2x12 cabinet” bring David’s discriminating tone to players looking for a highly-responsive, musical amp rig. “I've used them on hundreds of gigs and sessions and found them to be equally well suited to both live situations and studio work. Both amps do their own thing, and are far from knockoffs of any classic designs that boutique makers often strive for. I'm excited and proud that these amps are now in production. I'm hopeful that other players will find them as inspiring and musical as I do,” said Grissom.

New Limited Edition Instruments Specially Made for Experience PRS 2013 Event

Experience PRS, now in its seventh year, has become a significant part of MI calendars and PRS history. Each year, PRS opens its doors and creates an exciting and interactive schedule, including free-flowing factory tours, interactive guitar making (hosted by the PRS Private Stock team), artist clinics, recording demonstrations, and evening concerts. But, this event has become more than an open house for PRS fans to have a “backstage pass” at the PRS factory in Stevensville, MD. With an incredible selection of PRS instruments on display, it has become a destination event for players to pick their next PRS guitar or amplifier. Recognizing this, PRS built several limited edition instruments for the 2013 event.

Experience PRS Event Marks its Seventh Year with Record Attendance and a New Product Line

Experience PRS, now in its seventh year, has become a significant part of MI calendars and PRS history. This event, held each September at PRS Guitars’ manufacturing facility in Stevensville, Maryland, brings together a unique combination of authorized PRS dealers and distributors, worldwide press, celebrated PRS artists, and PRS customers and enthusiasts for two days of fun, education, and appreciation. From its humble beginnings in 2007 with an attendance of around 800 people, the event is expected to attract close to 3,000 attendees this year from all over the globe. The 2013 event notably marks the first time PRS will open its doors to highlight the new S2 manufacturing line. Considered one of the most significant launches in the company’s history, the S2 Series offers Maryland-made PRS guitars in the $1,000 - $1,500 price range.
