The Core Special Semi-Hollow offers players expansive tone with its three-pickup configuration – two PRS humbuckers flanking a PRS Narrowfield middle pickup – and a 5-way blade switch paired with dual mini-toggle coil-tap switches. This setup provides a total of twelve total pickup combinations from articulate single-coil clarity to full, warm humbucking tones.
Its semi-hollow body with a single f-hole adds natural airiness and resonance to the sound, giving the Special Semi-Hollow a distinct balance of warmth, depth, and responsiveness. The figured mango top brings an even more distinctive visual character to the Special’s already striking look. Built with a mahogany back and neck, 22 frets, and a 25” scale length, the platform delivers familiar PRS playability and feel.
