PRS Guitars ‘Experience PRS’ Event in its Fifth Year

Experience PRS, now in its fifth year, has become one of the largest single-manufacturer events in the music industry. This event, held each September at PRS Guitars’ manufacturing facility in Stevensville, MD, hosts a unique combination of authorized PRS dealers and international distributors, worldwide press, celebrated PRS artists, and PRS customers and enthusiasts. The number of attendees continues to climb every year, with a new peak of approximately 2,800 people for 2011, with some customers traveling from as far away as Japan and Australia to attend.

Each year, PRS opens its doors and creates an exciting and interactive schedule including free-flowing factory tours, interactive guitar making clinics (hosted by the company’s Private Stock team), artist clinics, recording demonstrations, and evening concerts. Some of the artist highlights from the last five years include: Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy, Al DiMeola, David Grissom, Orianthi, Davy Knowles, Mark Tremonti, Ricky Skaggs, Martin Simpson, Tony McManus, Dweezil Zappa, Opeth, and the Paul Reed Smith Band.

“We prepare for this event each year as soon as we return from NAMM in January. It has become a platform to introduce new products, educate the industry and our customers about the PRS brand, and most importantly a platform to say thank you to our supporters,” said Paul Reed Smith.
