Paul Rodgers Headlines PRS Guitars Benefit Concert for Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center

ONE NIGHT, ONE SHOW, ONE CAUSE

On the evening of Saturday, October 10th, Paul Reed Smith Guitars will host the 16th Annual One Night One Show One Cause Benefit Concert, for the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. This year’s event will take place at the Modell Center for the Performing Arts at the Lyric in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland, and will feature an exclusive performance by Paul Rodgers and his band.

Paul Rodgers is the creative driving force, main songwriter, and singer from Bad Company, Free, and The Firm. He also helped resurrect Queen by touring and recording with them for years before electing to return to his Solo career. Voted by Rolling Stone Magazine’s fans as the #3 Greatest Voice in Rock. Musicians and critics worldwidehave dubbed him “THE VOICE.” Never before has an artist led three bands to international success - in addition to creating a successful solo career - until Rodgers. He is undeniably one of music’s most distinctive vocalists. He has written and recorded some of rock’s greatest hits, including “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Bad Company,” “All Right Now,” “Shooting Star,” and more, with over 90 million albums sold to date. His Grammy Nominated Solo CD, “Muddy Water Blues,” including a who’s who of rock, Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Brian May of Queen, Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora, Buddy Guy and Brian Setzer. Dr. Rodgers, given an honorary doctorate from England’s #1 ranked Teesside University, is also winner of England’s very prestigious Ivor Novello Award as a songwriter, along with Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and Sting.

The VIP Pre-party will include a Live Guitar auction, hosted by Jon Levinson of Alex Cooper Auctioneers and feature guitars autographed by such names as John Mayer, Carlos Santana, the Baltimore Ravens and Paul Rodgers, including a meet and greet and photo with Paul, catered small plates by The Classic Catering People and drinks featuring Casamigos Tequila.

One Cause is the flagship benefit concert of PRS Guitars. Since 2000, PRS Guitars has raised over $3.5 million for the Living with Cancer Resource Program at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. The Living with Cancer Resource Program offers supportive care programming and education to cancer patients and families at Johns Hopkins free of charge

Seats begin at $40. VIP tickets start at $250 and includes premier seating with access to the VIPPre-party.

VIP Pre-party starts at 6:00pm, doors open at 8pm. All ages show. Tickets through Ticketmaster - on sale Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10am.
