The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus Visits PRS!

Recently, the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus rolled into the PRS Guitars parking lot and set up shop at the front of our building. As the exclusive sponsor of electric guitars on the bus this year, we were thrilled to have students from Kent Island High School on board during their visit. Alongside the producers on board, and even Paul Reed Smith himself, the students wrote and produced a full song from scratch and created a music video for it. To close out the day, we also donated two guitars directly to the Kent Island High School students, who will take them back to their classmates for future use in the music program.

The Lennon Bus has been making this kind of impact since 1998, bringing state-of-the-art recording technology directly to students nationwide. Their mobile studio features the latest in music, audio, and video equipment, and now, thanks to our partnership, it also features a carefully curated selection of PRS guitars for students across North America to experience.

"This partnership highlights our shared priority of music education and provides opportunities for developing musicians to get their hands on exceptional equipment in a professional recording experience. We look forward to an exciting year ahead!" - Bev Fowler // PRS Director of Artist and Community Relations

Since 1985, we've been committed to putting exceptional instruments in the hands of musicians who will push boundaries and create something new. Whether it's Carlos Santana, John Mayer, or a high school student writing their first song, great music starts with great instruments and the opportunity to learn.

Brian Rothschild, Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Lennon Bus, puts it perfectly: "The Lennon Bus is dedicated to providing the next generation of creators with access to the finest that the industry has to offer. We're proud to showcase the craftsmanship and killer design of PRS Guitars within all of our events and sessions across the U.S."

The Lennon Bus embarked from PRS Guitars to join Wu-Tang Clan's "Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber" tour, starting June 6 in Maryland at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore. Throughout 27 cities, students will have the opportunity to visit the bus and record their music. RZA is composing original songs for the tour, and students, along with celebrity guests, will contribute to the recording sessions. This incredible experience will be filmed for a documentary that is set to premiere at the Dolby Theater in Las Vegas this October.

As we continue to celebrate our 40th anniversary year with new product launches and upcoming museum exhibits, partnerships like this remind us that innovation isn't just about the guitars we build, but also about the opportunities we create.
