Snarky Puppy Takes Home Grammy for 'Empire Central'

Congratulations to PRS Signature Artist Mark Lettieri and the extended Snarky Puppy family for Sunday night’s win at the sixty-fifth Annual Grammy Awards. The instrumental collective’s fifteenth record, Empire Central, took home the award for best Contemporary Instrumental Album. The achievement marks the Texas-based group’s fifth Grammy win overall! Mark relied on his PRS Fiore model throughout the entire creative process behind Empire Central.

"Empire Central was a very exciting and fulfilling project. Our goal with this album was to highlight and pay homage to the musical roots and inspirations the band found during our early days in north Texas. This GRAMMY award is particularly special because it really honors all the area's musicians who influenced and guided us along the way."

"My PRS guitars played an integral part in the writing, arranging, and recording process of the record. I played my Fiores on almost every track, save for a few on which I used my McCarty 594, and both guitars allowed me to explore the wide variety of sounds and textures that the music required. There was no tone left unturned!" - Mark Lettieri
