This “missed connection” features two special guitars we made for our 30th Anniversary, the "Vine" McCarty & Custom 22. Get a closer look and see the dealers where they are still available below!

At PRS we care a lot about how the guitar plays and sounds. However, the aesthetic beauty of an instrument is also something we pay close attention to.
In 2015, we celebrated our company's 30th Anniversary of guitar building by releasing the 30th Anniversary "Vine" guitars. Two of our popular core models, the Custom 22 and McCarty, were adorned with Mother of Pearl 30th Anniversary Bird Inlays and Paua Vines down the fretboard. This elegant design was only crafted in a small batch of 120 guitars.
The design came to life through a brainstorm with our friends at Aulson Inlay, the same company PRS worked with to produce the 30th Anniversary Private Stock Dragon. Soon a rough Vine sketch came to life.
Mother of Pearl and Paua was carefully assembled and placed in the Gaboon Ebony fretboard by hand.
To compliment the elegant fretboard design, each of the 30th Anniversary Vine Guitars feature a highly figured Artist Grade Maple top.
The necks on the Vine guitars are also built with highly figured Artist Grade Maple wood.
No details on the Vine guitars were overlooked and we're proud of what came out of this project. Since the Vine guitars were introduced in a small quantity in 2015, only a handful remain available through our authorized dealers.
Here's where you can still find them!
