Limited to 1,500 pieces worldwide, the all new CE 24 Special Limited Edition brings a versatile hum/single/hum configuration to the CE bolt-on lineup! Unique to this model is a PRS NS-01 single coil nestled between two PRS 85/15 pickups for a total of nine pickup combinations. A Brief History of CE Guitars
Our first foray into bolt-on guitars began with the original CE model in 1988. Interestingly, CE models were the first PRS instruments to offer maple necks and bolt-on instruments are widely known for their snap, response, and comfortability.
Over the years at PRS, CE models were offered in various configurations (wood combinations, number of frets, pickup options) until their eventual discontinuation.
In 2016, we excitedly reintroduced the CE family as a way to bridge the growing price gap between PRS S2 and Core instruments and to offer players a unique set of features. Today, our bolt-on CE models are even available in the SE lineup and offer incredible affordability and quality.
The new CE 24 Special Limited Edition stands out from the rest of the CE lineup by offering a versatile three pickup layout for nine tonal options.
