Ed Sheeran Releases 'Drive' with John Mayer and Dave Grohl

Ahead of the release of the upcoming film “F1: The Movie,” Ed Sheeran has just released "Drive", a cut from the movie’s soundtrack. A collaboration with Dave Grohl on drums and John Mayer on guitar, “Drive” has been described as a rock-driven track. The video for the song prominently features Ed playing a custom-made SE baritone Hollowbody Piezo. This racing-themed guitar is a one-off build featuring a custom paint job and a unique fretboard inlay featuring a vintage racer shift gate at the 12th fret. Yellow bird inlays adorning the fretboard round out the design.

"I wanted to create a bespoke guitar with PRS for the F1 movie and song I did. I wanted it to be striking, bright and a baritone so I can use it on tour for the song. It’s a fantastic guitar, I’ve done a few shows with it now and it knocks” - Ed Sheeran

“F1: The Movie” and its soundtrack, titled F1: The Album, are scheduled for release on June 27, 2025.
